Rating Rules

By rating and commenting on this website you agree to rate and comment ONLY on the particular course in which you study. Registered students can rate twice per year (this is to allow for changing opinions as the year progresses) but can edit the most recent rating at any time. There is also the option of rating the course as an unregistered student. Ratings are anonymous.

Comments should be kept appropriate and honest. Please rate your course based on your opinion of it. One of the main goals of this site is to provide an insight into the course in question for students who wish to attend third level education. This will then help students decide their suitability to the course so please try to bear this in mind when you rate and comment on your course. Comments detailing the skills and interests which would benefit a student participating in the course are especially valuable.

Courses should be rated based on difficulty level, enjoyment, time consumption, quality of lecturers (without naming names), skills required in partaking and student's future prospective after the course is completed.

Ratings

Ratings are on a scale of 1 - 5.

1. Signifies that the student doesn't like the course and doesn't think it is a useful qualification to have in comparison with the work required to complete it.

5. Signifies that the student enjoys the course and thinks it is a good qualification to have.

Second level students please bear in mind the ratings and comments on this site are just opinions and some may not necessarily reflect the particular course.

Forum Guidelines

One section of the Forum is intended as a form of academic communication between students, in which they can present and discuss questions with other members of CourseFriend. This allows information to be exchanged between students regarding course work and thus the forum can become a valuable resource for students when studying.

Another section of the forum is intended as a form of communication between students in which they can exchange fun and entertaining stories, pictures and videos.

There is yet another section intended for discussions about general student related topics.

Goal

CourseFriend is an Independent Student Life Education experience Forum & Service.

The ultimate goal of this site is not only to allow third level students to rate and comment on their course but to provide a resource for students who wish to attend third level education. It is also intended as a means of communication between students both academically and socially.

The general aims of this website include:

  1. Capture real life experience of 3rd level Students of Courses, included in UCAS and CAO, as is directly from student communities. This is done by allowing the student to rate and comment on their particular course. Thus realising a student only social network online.
  2. Present the accumulated rating and experience for current and future generations of students emerging from 2nd level or engaged in 3rd Level generally. Thus these students can gage their suitability to the course.
  3. Host a Forum for live academic problem sharing and solving among students who are members of the CourseFriend community.
  4. Develop a fun based share forum, through which students can exchange humorous and entertaining stories, pictures and videos to enrich the lives of students.
  5. Provide general discussion forums on a wide range of student related topics.
